Bulk is not a discount word — it is an order shape. A bulk grating order changes which questions matter: not "what does a panel cost" but how many panels fill the shipment, where the price steps, and what each of those numbers requires in writing. We manufacture welded steel grating in standard panel sizes, with cut-to-order panels up to 1500 × 6000 mm on our fabrication range. We are not the maker, seller or agent of any third-party grating brand. If you are buying grating for your own project, the number that matters is what one order costs to land — not what a price list says per square metre.

Ask what the minimum order quantity applies to, because three different answers exist and they price the same enquiry differently: a minimum per panel size, a minimum per finish, or a minimum per shipment. Ask whether mixed sizes share one minimum or each carries its own, and what happens below it — a surcharge line on the quotation, or a refusal? None of these answers is guessable from outside; each is a one-line question whose answer belongs on the quotation next to the price.
A bulk price agreed in square metres and shipped by the panel is where disputes live. The count that matters at loading is panels per pallet and pallets per container, and it depends on your panel sizes, your bar thickness and the packing form the price assumes. Ask for the count in panels for your exact mix — a quotation that converts square metres into "approximately" is asking you to absorb the rounding. The honest form is arithmetic you can check: panels, per pallet, per container, written down.
A step down in price has a mechanism, and the mechanism is worth naming: a production run dedicated to your sizes, a coating batch shared across your order, or simply volume. A dedicated run locks your panel into one schedule; a shared batch moves with other orders' schedules. Ask which one the quotation describes, because the answer changes what happens when a date slips — and the difference between them never shows up in the price itself.
How many panels fit is decided by nesting, and nesting you can estimate yourself: a panel whose length divides evenly into the space it travels in wastes less than one that does not, and panels that stack flat beat panels with banding that spacers must protect. You do not need the supplier's magic number — you need the supplier's loading plan in writing: panels, pallets, packing form, weight. If the plan is not writable, it is not the plan the container will meet.
Is there a minimum order for grating panels? The minimum depends on panel size and finish, so the honest answer is the one on the quotation: ask which minimum applies to your mix and take it as a written number, not a verbal one.
Can I mix sizes in one bulk order? Ask whether the minimum applies to the shipment or to each size — the answer decides whether mixing saves you money. Mixed sizes are quoted as one order, with the count stated in panels.
How do I compare two bulk quotations? Align the countables first: same panel sizes, same packing form, same named point of delivery. A quotation with a cheaper line and no packing counts named is not comparable — it is incomplete.
Send your panel mix for a bulk quotation — sizes, finish and quantities; the quotation returns with the minimum, the packing counts and the price in writing.
